Marita Manson (She/Her) is a Canadian artist based in New York state working primarily in ceramics and sculpture. Using a porcelain veneer technique her work examines domestic space, womens work and their confinment and identification within the home. Marita graduated with her MFA in Ceramics from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in Spring 2026. She also holds a BSc in Microbiology from UVic (2010), and has studied ceramics at Kootenay School of the Arts in Nelson, BC (2017), and the Reykjavik School of Visual Arts in Iceland (2018). Marita’s work has been featured in galleries and shows in Canada, the United States and South Korea, and has served as an artist in residence at the Medalta International Artists Residency in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
