On the lamps:

I am interested in the undulating, plastic quality of memory. As I age I notice my memories fading and becoming skewed. Disturbed by this I began making these memory lamps, presenting confused and humorous vignettes of my childhood. Using the lighthearted form of the child’s bedside lamp, I hope to capture my waning memories in the liminal realm between reality and dreams. The lamps provide levity to the incalculable and unavoidable consequences of aging.
