
Marita Manson is an emerging artist in the field of ceramics. She is fascinated with pop culture and human activity, and creates functional and sculptural work focused on the anthropocene out of her studio in Rock Bay. Marita holds a BSc from the University of Victoria and studied ceramics at the University of Victoria, the Kootenay School of the Arts, and the Reykjavik School of Visual Arts in Iceland. Marita’s work has been shown in galleries both locally and internationally, and in 2018 she was a finalist for the Salt Spring Island Ceramics Awards. Marita currently lives and works in Victoria, BC, where she is a studio technician and educator at the Cedar Hill Art Centre.
